Whether you are employed or self-employed, the person engaging you should provide any training that is required for you to carry out your tasks safely. You should not use any equipment that you are not confident in using or that you've not been trained to use in case you cause an accident or injury as a result.
Our Training page has a range of training opportunities that you might be interested in. This training is provided by SILC and funded by Skills for Care. This includes 'Support with Confidence' training, a package specifically for PAs, that you might like to attend before becoming a PA as well as lots of other training courses to aid you in your role as a PA.
