29 March 2010 - 31 March 2010 -
SILC is running another of its highly successful programmes of awareness training for Personal Assistants on the 29th, 30th and 31st of March 2010. The sessions will be run at the Astolat Building, Coniers Way, Burpham, Guildford, GU4 7HL. Lunch will be provided.
DAY 1 – 29th of March 2010 - 10.30 to 16.00
● Introduction to Independent Living and core principles of providing care and support
● Safeguarding
(This session will be particularly useful to both Personal Assistants and their employers)
DAY 2 – 30th of March 2010 - 10.00 to 16.00
● Introduction to Health & Safety (part 1)
● First Aid and Medication
● Infection Control
● Food Hygiene
DAY 3 – 31st of March 2010 - 10.00 to 16.00
● Introduction to Health & Safety (part 2)
● Fire Training
● Moving and Handling
These sessions can be attended as a block of 3 days or individually over a number of sessions. Future sessions are planned for 4th, 5th & 6th of May 2010 and 27th, 28th and 29th September 2010. Certificates of attendance are issued for each individual day.
